What Happened to the Dinosaurs? -In this well illustrated talk, Dr Monty White, looks at some of the many explanations that have been put forward over the last fifty years to explain the demise of the dinosaurs. Monty then examines one of the suggestions to see whether there is any scientific basis for believing that dinosaurs evolved into birds. He shows that this idea is fraught with difficulties, the most prominent being that there is no explanation for the addition of the new genetic information that would be necessary to enable a scale to change into a feather. The Biblical Flood and the associated fossilisation of the animals that failed to make it onto the Ark are examined and worldwide evidence that humans and dinosaurs have lived together in the recent past is exposed. He also details the recent discovery of soft tissue, blood cells and proteins which have been discovered in dinosaur bones.
